Emma Bennett

Emma began her legal career in private practice in Canberra with a focus on civil litigation and commercial law. She graduated university in 2023 from the University of New England with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business. She went on to complete her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with the College of Law and was admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of the ACT in June 2024.
Emma joined Kennedy & Cooke in March 2025, returning to Batemans Bay where she grew up. Emma now works closely with Geoff in Kennedy & Cooke’s Batemans Bay office and has extended her practice areas to family law as well.
When outside of the office, Emma can be found reading a good book, spending time with her family and dogs at the beach or snowboarding during winter.
